Exercise Five, Part Two: Some Serious Figure Painting
Students will create a figure painting from a live model, beginning first with several thumbnail sketches in their sketchbooks to aid in determining a dynamic composition. This part cancelled. I didn't see the benefit in changing directions only to dabble a couple of times in figurative exercises. 

Homework: Exercise Five, Part Three: Get to Know Yourself Better

Students will make a minimum of ten three-minute self-portrait sketches in their sketchbook, and one self-portrait painting on the surface of their choice.
